Before you book

  • Check the physio is registered. Physiotherapists in the UK must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). You can check a name or number on the HCPC register.
  • Ask about fees and cancellations. Prices vary between clinics and areas, and first appointments usually cost more than follow-ups.
  • Using insurance? Check whether your insurer needs a GP referral or pre-authorisation, and whether it recognises the clinic.
  • NHS physiotherapy. In many areas you can refer yourself to NHS physiotherapy without seeing a GP. Your GP practice or local NHS services can tell you how it works where you live. See our guide to finding a physio.

We list a clinic only when two sources agree: a place listing from the Overture Maps Foundation, plus either the clinic’s own website showing physiotherapy at the same postcode or phone number, or a second independent business listing. Details can change, so please confirm with the clinic before you go. We haven’t checked the registration of clinicians at unclaimed listings; claimed listings marked “HCPC registration checked” have been checked by us.

Clinic owners can claim a listing free to correct details, or use “Report a problem” on any listing to tell us it’s wrong or ask for it to be removed.
